31 Dec TFCCA Introduces Grant Mechanism to Bali Conservation Stakeholders

On 25–26 November 2025, the Tropical Forest and Coral Reefs Conservation Act (TFCCA) Secretariat, hosted by Konservasi Indonesia, conducted a Socialization on the TFCCA Grant Mechanism at Coral Triangle Center (CTC). The activity brought together 35 participants representing a wide range of stakeholders, including Provincial and District Marine and Fisheries Agencies in Bali, universities and academia, community-based surveillance groups (Pokmaswas), village-owned enterprises (BUMDes), village cooperatives (KUD), civil society organizations, and NGOs.

The session aimed to increase participants’ understanding of funding opportunities under the TFCCA scheme and to encourage broader participation from local institutions and community-based organizations. During the socialization, the TFCCA Secretariat team presented an overview of the grant mechanism, explained key requirements and procedures for completing the application forms, and shared practical guidance on proposal preparation. An interactive question-and-answer session followed, allowing participants to raise specific questions and clarify technical aspects of the process.

Discussions during the session highlighted strong interest in the program. Participants raised questions related to organizational eligibility, the application of consortium models, financial reporting requirements, and the potential role of local government agencies in supporting and facilitating the implementation of TFCCA-funded activities. These exchanges reflected the diverse backgrounds of participants and their shared commitment to strengthening coral reef conservation and sustainable resource management.

To further support prospective applicants, a coaching clinic was scheduled to continue until 26 November 2025 at 15.00 WITA, providing additional opportunities for hands-on guidance and consultation. Through this activity, CTC continues to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, supporting partners and local stakeholders in accessing conservation funding and translating it into meaningful action on the ground.
