As part of the lead-up to the 7th ASEAN-China-UNDP Symposium on Localising the Global Goals: A Strategy for SDGs Implementation, set to take place on May 19–20, 2025, the Coral Triangle Center (CTC) had the honor of hosting esteemed guests from key Indonesian ministries at our Center for Marine Conservation in Sanur, Bali.
Among the visitors was Mr. Suseno Sukoyono, Board Supervisor of CTC and representative of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia. The delegation included Mr. Bayu (Commitment Making Official), Ms. Ayu (International Relations Staff), and Mr. Budi (Event Coordinator Staff).
During the visit, our guests explored CTC’s interactive exhibitions and received a comprehensive overview of our marine conservation initiatives. They expressed high appreciation for the Center’s engaging approach to raising awareness—highlighting how healthy marine ecosystems play a vital role in ensuring food security, promoting environmental sustainability, and building resilience to climate change.
The visit also served as a platform to deepen collaboration in the context of the upcoming symposium, where discussions will focus on accelerating the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through localized strategies across the ASEAN region and China, with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
CTC is proud to support this significant event and to continue working alongside national and regional partners to promote sustainable ocean governance and community-driven conservation efforts.
