In celebration of Earth Day 2025, CTC’s Ocean Keeper Club hosted a special film screening as part of our commitment to inspiring young minds and fostering a deep sense of care for the ocean and its ecosystems. This event was a celebration of learning, discovery, and collective action for the planet.
Held at CTC’s Center for Marine Conservation, the screening featured the heartwarming documentary “Puff: Wonders of the Reef.” The film follows a baby pufferfish on his journey through the Great Barrier Reef, offering a stunning glimpse into the fragile beauty of coral ecosystems and the rich marine life they support. More than just a story of adventure, Puff became a powerful tool to spark curiosity and environmental awareness in our young audience.
We were thrilled to welcome 62 participants, including 49 enthusiastic children aged 9 to 12 and 13 dedicated teachers and parents. The event attracted not only students from our partner schools but also children from the wider community, reflecting our growing impact and reach.
Supporting the Ocean Keeper Club means more than just environmental education – it’s about empowering the next generation to take action for a healthier planet. This aligns with the Earth Day 2025 theme: “Together, we have the power to protect the planet.” Whether through film, storytelling, or hands-on learning, each moment helps build the knowledge, empathy, and motivation needed to care for our oceans.
We’re proud to be shaping future Ocean Keepers who are informed, inspired, and ready to make a difference. And we can’t wait to see what waves they’ll make as they dive deeper into their journey to protect our blue planet!
