Since September, 2022, CTC partnered with Club Med Bali to run the Coral Clay Workshop as part of their guest engagement activities. Held every Tuesday, this interactive workshop successfully ran for 20 sessions and concluded on October 29, 2024. The program received high accolades from participants, with many sessions fully booked. Families and children especially enjoyed this hands-on experience, combining art with marine conservation awareness.
During the workshop, CTC facilitators introduced participants to general knowledge about corals, explaining the different life forms that exist, their crucial role in marine ecosystems, and the importance of protecting coral reefs. The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the beauty and fragility of coral reefs while providing a fun and educational activity. Once completed, they could take their creations home as a souvenir, allowing them to continue appreciating and reflecting on the importance of marine conservation.
This initiative aligns with Club Med’s commitment to sustainable tourism. As a global hospitality brand, Club Med actively supports environmental programs and collaborates with NGOs to raise awareness about conservation. By incorporating the Coral Clay Workshop into their activities, Club Med provides an engaging way for guests to learn about marine ecosystems while fostering a sense of responsibility for coral reef protection. Â
Now in its third year, this collaboration will continue into 2025, reinforcing our shared mission to promote marine conservation. Through this creative and educational activity, we hope to inspire more people to appreciate and protect our precious coral reefs for future generations. Â
