07 Dec WWF Tanzania visits Center for Marine Conservation

On 27th of November, CTC had the pleasure to welcome WWF Tanzania into the Center for Marine Conservation. The visit was a part of learning exchange relating to the Project of Coastal Community-based Conservation in Indonesia, this has been a collaboration between WWF Indonesia, Western Indian Ocean, WWF Tanzania, and Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies.

There were 13 participants in total, and as soon as they arrived at Center for Marine Conservation, they went on for a tour around the Center and its Exhibition hall, played in the first marine-themed Escape Room in Indonesia: SOS From the Deep, afterwards the participants were shown a presentation that consisted of brief introduction of CTC, the work of MPAs at provincial and national levels, as well as the work of CTC to support MPAs and local communities. The team of CTC were also familiarized with the programs of WWF Tanzania, the work they have been doing to support the communities andsurrounding areas. The session concluded with reflection and discussion between both parties.
