22 May Online Training for Educators, Batch 2: Sharing Creative Teaching Methods on Marine Conservation
From May 22-28, 2021, Coral Triangle Center (CTC) in collaboration with Ludere Nusantara (Ludenara) held online training for educators. Continuing from our previous success, we created a two-day workshop, followed by five days of mentoring and discussion to share creative teaching methods and exchange knowledge on marine conservation.
The workshop was held virtually, attended by 12 participants from all over Indonesia. During the workshop, CTC presented about marine ecology and marine conservation through interactive presentations and online games. In order to be able to deliver knowledge on marine ecology and marine conservation in fun methods, Ludenara shared some exciting approaches for educators to be able to implement and develop creative teaching methods.
“Learning is fun! After participating in this training, I became aware of effective materials and delivery methods to be conveyed to the audience, especially children.” Said Rusthesa Latritiani from Balai Besar Taman Nasional Teluk Cenderawasih.
The main highlight of this program is to share some game-based learning methods for marine conservation training. Creative teaching methods are an important aspect of learning and we believe that by implementing game-based learning and innovative tools, we can provide fun learning approaches to inspire people to take care of our ocean and our environment.
