Did you know? A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute and the number will jump another 20% by 2021, creating an environmental crisis especially for our oceans. Most plastic bottles used for soft drinks and water are made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is highly recyclable. But as their use soars across the globe, efforts to collect and recycle the bottles to keep them from polluting the oceans are failing to keep up (Laville and Taylor, 2017). So, refusing single-use plastics and using reusable and sustainable alternatives would be the best action we can do to protect our ocean from plastic pollution!⠀
There is so much more you can do to start reducing the amount of plastic waste in your daily lives. Playing a fun and challenging game can be an option! From the makers of SOS from the Deep comes a new escape adventure to save the seas from plastic pollution. The Escape Room “SOS Plastic Danger” will challenge you to work together with your friends to stop plastics from going into the ocean and find sustainable solutions for this issue.
Located in Sanur, Bali, Escape Room “SOS Plastic Danger” will be opening soon in 2020. Keep up-to-date by following its Instagram, @sosfromthedeep!
