13 Mar Workshop on Marine Conservation with Bali Nature and Experience Tours

A group of 12 tour guides from Bali Nature and Experience Tours visited CTC’s Center for Marine Conservation on March 13, 2020. Bali Nature and Experience Tours, also known as Oji Bali, is a tour operator who organizes activities related to nature and culture in Bali. As a Destination Management Company (DMC), Oji Bali offers various programs such as exploring the hidden beauty of Nusa Penida, cycling, hiking, snorkeling and exploring mangrove tours.

As a tour operator that offers snorkeling and island tours in Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, they need to understand the importance of protecting nature. By visiting our center, they hoped to learn about marine conservation and sustainable tourism. During a half-day workshop, our facilitators and Marine Conservation Advisor presented about coastal ecosystems, marine life, marine protected areas, and sustainable tourism. The workshop was packed with a variety of discussions, group work, and games.

One of the participants mentioned that through the workshop, they were able to learn more about nature. The workshop has helped them to broaden their knowledge of marine conservation and implement sustainable tourism. The knowledge gained from this workshop will help all the tour guides to spread the word of conservation to their clients and partners.
