On November 29, 2019, CTC renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bali Province Government, specifically with the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Department (Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan). The MOU renewal was signed by CTC Executive Director Rili Djohani and DKP head Ir I Made Sudarsana during CTC’s Ocean Legacy Awards event. The MOU provides a framework for working together to ensure continued progress in the protection and management of the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area, with a focus on fisheries and endangered species, as well as promoting sustainable marine tourism practices throughout Bali Province. The MOU renewal also signifies CTC’s continued support of the provincial government’s efforts to strengthen effective MPA management and marine conservation throughout Bali Province.
