01 May Beeswax Food Wrap – The Alternative to Plastic Wrap for Food Storage

Sustainable alternatives to household items we use every day are becoming more and more popular. Nowadays, an increasing number of people are realizing the importance of choosing the right sustainable material for their household or other daily necessities.

Plastic wrap is a common household product and almost all of us have used it to keep our food fresh and protected. It sure has been highly convenient for many decades, but it is certainly not environmentally friendly as it is not recyclable nor sourced from a renewable source. The challenge in finding a suitable replacement for plastic wrap or zip-lock bags has finally been solved with, sustainable beeswax food wrap.

CTC has partnered with Mon Trésor de M to create washable and reusable food wrap. Made out of beeswax and cotton/linen, the beeswax wraps work best as one of the replacements of plastic wrap in preserving leftovers food, fruit vegetables and also as a cover for bowls and other kitchen utensils.

There are currently 4 sizes with various marine theme designs available for purchase at CTC’s retail store. For more information contact us at info@coraltrianglecenter.org
