07 Mar Baby Corals Find a Home!
The Coral Triangle Center is excited to announce that we have planted our Friend of CTC’s baby coral plants.
Early this month, the Learning Sites team (LS) and Marketing team went to Lembongan Bay, Nusa Lembongan, for a busy day of coral planting and coral maintenance. The species of coral planted was Acropora; and this species of coral is expected to grow 5-10 centimetres in a year’s time.
Since 2010, LS team has been planting coral in Nusa Penida, an island next to Nusa Lembongan, to restore reefs damaged by human activities.
We would like to thank our friends of CTC for their support and contributions! We are very much looking forward to see our new baby corals grow, and to future coral planting trips to help safeguard and protect our reefs.
