17 Dec CTC Receives Anugerah Award from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Indonesia

CTC received the prestigious Anugerah Award from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries for our contribution in building capacity in marine resource management in Indonesia. CTC Executive Director Rili Djohani received the award from Minister Susi Pudjiastuti on December 17, 2017 during the awarding ceremonies at Silang Timur Monas in Jakarta. CTC was specifically cited for ‘alas java dan kontribusinya sebagai Lumbago Swadaya Masyarakat (LSM) yang mendukung Pelatihan Kelautan dan Perikanan’. 

Out of the 30 award winners this year, CTC was the only non-government organization focused on marine conservation while the rest were all focused on fisheries issues. CTC will use this award as in inspiration to continue pursuing our work in strengthening local capacity and leadership in marine resource management in Indonesia and the Coral Triangle.
