10 Sep Celebrating Oceans Day in Sanur

CTC joined like-minded organizations and local community members for the Ocean Day festival on September 10, 2017 hosted by Genius Café at the Mercure Hotel in Sanur. The event aimed to raise awareness about the UN Sustainable Development Goal #14 “Life below water” as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goal #17 “Partnerships for the Goals.”

CTC’s booth showcased fun-learning materials such as Aquatico and Coral Reef Activity Kit as well as other merchandise to encourage more people to care for the ocean that connects us all. CTC team members were also on hand to answer questions about marine conservation programs in Indonesia and the Coral Triangle.

The event was attended by about 300 people and shed the spotlight on ocean protection, biggest threats, profitable business solutions for ocean protection and ecosystem, attracting a diverse target group to educate children and adults, facilitate networking of NGOs and entrepreneurs tackling ocean challenges and collaborate.
