14 Apr CTC Hosts Indonesia Young Presidents Organization (YPO) for Marine Conservation Activities in Nusa Lembongan

CTC, in collaboration with Bali Hai Cruises and Mars Foundation, hosted members and families of the Indonesia Young Presidents Organization in Nusa Lembongan on April 14, 2017 for a day of coral transplantation, snorkeling, diving, and mangrove planting. The event began with the participants attaching 60 coral fragments to spider structures developed by Mars Foundation, which were then submerged underwater in Nusa Lembongan’s Mushroom Bay by YPO members, CTC, and the Bali Hai diving team. It is hoped that the coral fragments will grow healthy and become healthy coral reefs in the next few years.  During lunch, there were talks on coral reef restoration and marine conservation, followed by mangrove planting and scuba diving. At the end of the day, CTC distribute its Coral Reefs Activity kit for the children who joined the trip. A fun and insightful trip was had by everyone! Photo Credit: Leilani Gallardo/CTC
